Argentina Holidays
When Argentina comes to mind, your thoughts will probably turn to the sultry Argentine tango, malbec wine, and succulent steak, and of course football, but there is much more to this diverse nation with its infectious Latin spirit. Here you will find the world’s southern-most city (although this is refuted by Chile), the rugged, icy landscapes of Patagonia and vast grass-lands covered by sprawling estancias, alongside those renowned destinations of Buenos Aires, Mendoza and Iguazú Falls.

Argentina Regions
Our recommendations for the best places to visit in Argentina
Argentinean Falls, Iguazú
Experience the mighty Iguazú falls from the Argentinian side on a half day tour. Board a small train for a short tour of Iguazú National Park where you can glimpse vibrant wildlife and tropical plants and flowers. Disembark and make your way along the pathways to the top of the falls. The tour’s highlight is the platform which is suspended over the edge of the largest of the falls, the Devils Throat.
Buenos Aires tour
On this introductory half day tour visit Plazo de Mayo square and discover Avenida de Mayo's art nouveau and art deco architecture. You'll head south to La Boca, with its colourful tin houses and lively atmosphere. Move on to the elegant Recoleta district with its French architecture before viewing Palermo's parks, monuments and mansions. During the tour you'll learn about the history and politics that changed lives in Argentina.
Tango show & dinner
Enjoy an evening of dance and dining at one of Buenos Aires' immersive tango shows. This unforgettable evening showcases the sultry beauty and intricate moves of one of the world's favourite dances and is accommpanied by a delicious meal full of traditional Argentinian dishes.
Tierra del Fuego National Park
Explore acres of Andean Patagonian forest, lakes and beaver dams on this half day tour in the Tierra del Fuego National Park. Located at the 'end of the world' this fascinating landscape will leave you awe inspired. Visit view points offering panoramic views of the Beagle Channel, glimpse bird species such as the buff-necked ibis and take a walking tour to the Black Lagoon or the Beavers Path where you can view the dams that these curious creatures create. Discover evidence of age-old settlements at Lapataia Bay and on the return journey to Ushuaia stop at Roca Lake which changes shade due to colour.
Perito Moreno glacier
Witness the living ice of the world-famous Perito Moreno glacier. From El Calafate, head west into Los Glaciers National Park, and pass through typically Patagonian landscapes and along the shore of Lake Argentino before coming face to face with the 3-mile wide and 18-mile long glacier. Your first view of this sea of ice will be from 'Sighs Curve' before you continue on to the walkways that are just 300 metres away from the glacier's terminus. Spend time watching and listening to the ice, and possibly see massive chunks of ice calve of the face and become icebergs in the lake.
Cafayate Full Day tour from Salta
Depart from Salta in the early morning and travel through tobacco crops, high-altitude vineyards renowned for their production of sweet Torrontés Wine, and local towns en route to Cafayate. Witness the other-worldly landscapes of the Quebrada del Río Las Conchas, an incredible multi-coloured canyon that's been eroded by the river waters, wind and rain. Once in Cafayate, you'll visit the main square which is lined by the cathedral and Bravo Archaeological Museum.
Humahuaca Gorge
This full-day tour takes you from Salta through the narrow mountain valley of Quebrada de Humahuaca. An ancient trade route and breathtaking natural wonder, this UNESCO-listed valley is home to the famous Seven Colours Hill and the town of Purmamarca. Stop in the town of Tilcara, which is the site of the remains of a pre-Hispanic hilltop fortress and visit its market before continuing on and crossing the Tropic of Capricorn and visiting historic villages and the town of Humahuaca itself. En route back to Salta, there'll be a short stop in the city of San Salvador de Jujuy.
Lakes crossing
Featuring one of the world's most scenic border crossings, the trip between the Argentinian and Chilean Lake Districts is an incredible journey by road and boat. You'll depart from either Puerto Varas or Bariloche and sail across three lakes that are connected by four overland legs. Enjoy the beauty of the Andean landscapes and witness highlights such as Lake Nahuel Huapi, Cerro Tronador, the Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes and Lake Llanquihue.
